Football…what a passion!!
From Maradona’s jersey to the World Cups won by Italy, from Paolo Rossi’s mythical 20 in the Spanish World Cup  to the vast collection of postage stamps from all over the world dedicated to Football, the Museo del Calcio (Football Museum) in Coverciano. For children from 7 to 12 years of age who love this sport, we can reserve a coach who will teach them the basic techniques of Italian football on the beautiful Coverciano field, the official seat of the National Italian Football Team.

A scenic bike ride, on the side?
Cycling is by far the best way to discover and experience the hidden details, landscapes, colours, sights nad sounds that most people in today’s frenetic world simply forget to notice. For this very reason, we are happy to organize guided bike tours on chosen routes in historical Florence, in the renowned Chianti wine area and in the former Etruscan/Roman town of Fiesole.

Visits to chocolate workshops with master chocolate makers
In Andrea Bianchini’s “Bottega del Cioccolato” shop, your senses will revel in the luscious creations of artisan-made chocolate.  During the two-hour course, you will be in ecstasy learning how creation becomes art and art turns into exquisite chocolate. For the young ones, a fun-filled, scrumptious class!!

Just a spoonful of ice-cream…
The Vivoli ice-cream parlour is not only the most famous in Florence but one of the most famous in the world, and rightly so!  The Vivoli family has been creating their delicious “gelato” masterpieces in Florence since 1930.  Just for our guests, “Vivoli” will open the doors to its historical “gelateria”  for an unforgettable experience in ice-cream making. As a special treat, you will also meet members of the family who will personally reveal anecdotes on their unusual history, followed by an exquisite, multi-flavoured ice-cream tasting.

Do not forget the museums...
A huge range of activities are available  for children and adults at Palazzo Vecchio and the Museo dei Ragazzi.
Families and children can attend workshops, listen to stories told by the characters in Palazzo Vecchio, meet princess and duchesses… While the Museo dei Ragazzi is open to the curious minded, whatever their age,  it is great to know that it offers a range of activities that will amaze even the youngest of visitors. For 3 to 7 year olds there are, among other things, a tortoise, a wise parrot, a nursemaid and the little princes’ teacher. Through images, narration and perfumes curious little ones will discover the thousand mysteries of Palazzo Vecchio and find out what life was like in the royal palace. 8 to 12 year olds can become “acting visitors”. Kids can put themselves in the shoes of the young Duke Cosimo I de’ Medici’s advisors, or get a first hand view of the monsters from the Feats of Hercules.

Having fun with colours!!
For the children, “between one dive in the pool and another”, painting lessons with water-colours. The lessons are carried out by a painter who has a great deal of experience as an art teacher for children. The course takes place in the Hotel and lasts approximately two hours. Don’t think twice about leaving your children with us!  We will take very good care of them and upon your return, you will discover some true, little “masterpieces”!
