Football…what a passion!!
From Maradona’s jersey to the World Cups won by Italy, from Paolo Rossi’s mythical 20 in the Spanish World Cup to the vast collection of football-themed postage stamps from all over the world, the Museo del Calcio (Football Museum) in Coverciano is a gem for lovers of the beautiful game. For children from 7 to 12 years of age, we can hire a coach who will teach them the basic techniques of Italian football on the Coverciano field, the official base of the National Italian Football Team.

A scenic bike ride, on the side?
Cycling is by far the best way to discover and experience the hidden landscapes, colours, sights and sounds that most people in today’s frenetic world simply forget to notice. We are therefore happy to organise guided bike tours on chosen routes around historic Florence, the renowned Chianti wine area and the former Etruscan/Roman town of Fiesole.

Visits to chocolate workshops with master chocolate makers
In Andrea Bianchini’s Bottega del Cioccolato shop, your senses will come alive to the smells and tastes of luscious, artisan-made creations.  During a two-hour course, you will discover the true art of chocolate-making. Younger visitors love this fun-filled, scrumptious experience!!

Just a spoonful of ice-cream…
The Vivoli ice-cream parlour is not only the most famous in Florence, but one of the most famous in the world. The Vivoli family has been creating its delicious gelato masterpieces in Florence since 1930.  Exclusively for our guests, they will share some of their secrets. As a special treat, they will also recount anecdotes from their unusual history, followed by a mouth-watering, multi-flavoured ice-cream tasting.

Do not forget the museums...
A huge range of activities is available for children and adults at Palazzo Vecchio and the Museo dei Ragazzi.
Families and children can attend workshops, listen to stories, meet princes and duchesses.
Through images, narration and scents, curious youngsters will discover the 1000 mysteries of Palazzo Vecchio and find out what life was like in the royal palace. Eight- to 12-year-olds can become “acting visitors”, putting themselves in the shoes of the young Duke Cosimo I de’ Medici’s advisors, or get a first-hand view of the monsters from the Feats of Hercules.
The Museo dei Ragazzi welcomes the curious-minded, whatever their age, and offers a range of activities that will amaze even the youngest of visitors. For three- to seven-year olds there are, among other things, a tortoise, a wise parrot, a nursemaid and the little princes’ teacher.

Having fun with colours!!
This two-hour art lesson in watercolours is based at the hotel and led by a painter with experience of working with children. Your children will be happy and safe with us and, upon your return, you may receive some little masterpieces to hang on your wall…
