'Active Gourmet goes Tuscan' in collaboration with Active Gourmet Holidays

Number of lessons: 2 • Duration of stay: 6 days and 5 nights

1st Day:
Welcome cocktail to meet the other participants on the course, followed by dinner in the hotel’s restaurant with the other participants.

2nd Day:
Meet the chef of Villa San Michele, Attilio Di Fabrizio, and begin the first lesson in the kitchen. Lunch is taken at 1pm, based on the specialities prepared that morning.
In the afternoon, relax by the panoramic pool or go to Florence using the hotel shuttle. Dinner is at leisure (not included in the programme).

3rd Day:
In the morning, transfer to Florence by private minibus to enjoy a guided tour of Florence, Palazzo Pitti and the Museo dell’Accademia, where you will see Michelangelo’s David.
Lunch is at leisure (not included in the programme). In the evening, enjoy an à la carte dinner in the Villa San Michele restaurant.

4th Day:
Second lesson on traditional Tuscan cuisine with Chef Attilio Di Fabrizio during the morning, followed by lunch based on the specialities prepared earlier. In the afternoon, enjoy shopping in the city’s finest boutiques accompanied by a personal shopper. Dinner at leisure (not included in the programme).

 

5th Day:
The entire day is at your leisure (lunch is not included in the programme). In the evening you will meet your cookery school colleagues for cocktails and an unforgettable Renaissance-style dinner featuring decorations and dishes inspired by Caterina de’ Medici, served by waiters and musicians in costume.

6th Day:

Farewell to the Villa as you depart after breakfast. Check-out is by noon. The Front Desk takes care of luggage. Supplement for late check-out on request.

During your entire stay it is easy to visit central Florence, thanks to the hotel’s free shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes. You also have at your disposal the pool and gardens of Villa San Michele, as well as the magnificent cuisine of the hotel’s Loggia Restaurant. It’s a dream week: give yourself a treat!

€ 3.622 in a double room for single use
€ 2.882 for a non-participating companion

The price is inclusive of five nights in a superior room with full American buffet breakfast, welcome cocktail on the day of arrival, dinner at the hotel on the first, third and last evenings, and lunch at the hotel after each morning lesson, including selected regional wines, the lessons, all materials and necessary ingredients. The quote for the non-participating companion includes all the activities in the programme, excluding the cooking classes. Please enquire about additional-night rates or supplements for room upgrade.

- The Course is for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 participants and the approach is highly personalized.
