Dear Reader,

Let me introduce you to the real asset of the Villa San Michele, our team.  Their dedication to serving our guests through the years has created the reputation of which we are very proud.

Most of these professionals have been working at the Villa San Michele for many years, creating a unique continuity of service, care and attention to our 'family' of guests who regularly return to stay with us.

This month I'd like to intoduce you to Vittorio Dall’Ò, our Food, Beverage and Restaurant Manager, whose basic, but effective, philosophy is summed up as: 'The capacity to project kindness and professionalism and in doing so deserve the client’s confidence'.

Vittorio’s career began in 1970 at the Hotel Excelsior at the Lido of Venice, and developed afterwards at Hotel Suvretta in St Moritz, Düsseldorf and again in Venice before becoming joining our team as Maitre d’Hotel in 1986.

The great passion for his job and discovering the secrets of gastronomy and refined cuisine, together with his deep knowledge of enology - he is a great wine expert indeed - have in time made him highly deserving of his position as our Food and Beverage Manager.  The secret of his success may be seen in his relationship with the client, who trusts in Vittorio to advise on the best food accompanied by wines which exalt both taste and pleasure.

Among the most likeable anecdotes is that of Roberto Benigni.  During a stay of one month at Villa San Michele, the comedian went to the kitchen every morning to have the chef properly cook 'l’ovetto fresco', that is eggs, delivered daily by his mother Elide.
