"A recent wedding at Villa San Michele began unfolding long before the ceremony, when the bride, her mother and her sister arrived for three days of in-room beauty treatments in preparation for the big event. As they relaxed, the hotel was decorated - the gardens looked amazing as giant candles were set up.
From the afternoon before the wedding, the entire villa was reserved for the party's exclusive two-day use: guests began arriving and a welcome buffet awaited in the garden as a jazz orchestra played.
The marriage took place on the Villa's highest garden terrace, beside the infinity swimming pool and with a backdrop of breathtaking views over Florence. As 500 tiny candles flickered on the pool, the bride arrived directly from her suite on a white horse. The moment the couple said the words "I do", hundreds of white and green paper butterflies soared into the air - the magical effect was made even more impressive by a fantastic firework display."
